The agency of the federal government that regulates interstate use of the Radio Spectrum as well as the interstate provision of wireline Communications services. Established by the Communications Act of 1934, the FCC is headed
by five commissioners, each of whom is nominated by the President and confirmed
by the U.S. Senate.
