CEO & General Manager

Jason Marshall

Jason became Sho-Me Power’s sixth Chief Executive Officer and General Manager in January 2024. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Transmission and Regulatory Affairs at Wabash Valley Power. Jason brings extensive experience in the energy industry, having worked with a generation and transmission cooperative, a regional transmission organization, an energy risk management firm, and an investor-owned utility. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University, and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. Jason has served on the boards of SERC Reliability Corp. and RELIABILITYFIRST, and currently serves on the NERC Member Representatives Committee.

Chief Operating Officer

Chris Bolick

Chris earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri–Rolla in 1986. He began his career at Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. as a transmission planning engineer and became Manager of Transmission Planning and Operations in 2000. He represented cooperatives on the NERC Operating Committee for 14 years. A long-standing member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Chris is also part of the Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineers at Missouri S&T. He joined Sho-Me Power in 2014 as Manager of Administrative Services and now serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all Engineering and Operations functions.

Chief Compliance Officer

Peter Dawson

Peter joined Sho-Me Power in 2008 as an Environmental Specialist and now leads the Regulatory Services Division, which includes Safety, Environmental, Reliability Compliance, Contracts Administration, and the Project Management Office. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Drury University, an M.S. in Administrative Studies/Project Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Missouri State University, as well as a JD from UMKC School of Law. Peter is a Certified Loss Control Professional (NRECA), a Project Management Professional (PMI), and a licensed attorney in Missouri.

Human Resources Director

Valerie Adams

Valerie joined Sho-Me Power in 2024 in the role of Human Resources Director managing the Human Resources division. She holds a Masters degree in Human Resources Management, possesses 2 Human Resources certifications (SHRM-CP & PHR), and is a long- standing member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and former Board chairperson for the Springfield Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA).

Chief Telecommunications Officer

Kari Harles

Kari earned a B.S. in Physics from Missouri State University in 1999 and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University in 2011. She joined Sho-Me Power in 2002, progressing from the Network Operations Center to Network Engineering, and later into leadership roles. In 2021, she was promoted to manage Sho-Me Technologies, overseeing the telecommunications network that supports both Sho-Me Power and Sho-Me Technologies.

Chief Information Officer

Micah Johnson

Micah earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Central Arkansas in 1998 and began his IT career that same year. He held campus IT roles before moving to southwest Missouri in 2001 to join Bass Pro Shops as a Systems Analyst. Micah joined Sho-Me Power in 2008 as a Client Server Operations Specialist and was later promoted to Senior Networks Administrator. In 2017, he became Manager of Information Technology and was named Chief Information Officer in 2020. He leads initiatives in infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and operational technology. Micah is active in the Springfield Tech Council and serves on the NRECA G&T Managers Association – Grid Management Committee and IT Managers Association.

Chief Financial Officer

Erica Lafferty

Erica earned a B.S. in Accounting from Missouri State University in 2005 and a Master of Accountancy in 2007. She began her career with Abacus CPAs while still a student and joined Sho-Me Power in 2008 as a Property Accountant. She became a Certified Public Accountant in Missouri in 2009 and advanced through several roles before being named Controller/Risk Manager in 2016 and Chief Financial Officer in 2022. As CFO, Erica oversees Finance, Physical Security, Purchasing, Facilities, Vehicle Maintenance, and Warehousing. She completed the NRECA Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program in 2021 and is active in the national G&T Accounting & Finance Association and the Missouri Society of CPAs.

Member Service and Corporate Communications Director

Tim Lewis

Tim began his telecommunications career as a student at The College of the Ozarks, working in the Telecom Department through a campus work-study program. After graduation, he joined Contel Telephone, which later merged with GTE. In 1995, he co-founded a successful Audio/Video company in Indiana, serving clients such as Caterpillar, Delco-Remy America, the Bob Dole Presidential Campaign, and several venues at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Tim returned to telecom in 2000 with Cisco Systems as a Systems Engineer II in the Optical Networking Group. In 2002, he was recruited by Sho-Me Power to establish the marketing division for Sho-Me Technologies. Since 2016, Tim has served as Manager of Member Services and Corporate Communications, overseeing Media Services, Education and Outreach, Government Affairs, and Economic Development.
