On May 31st, Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative held its 2023 Annual Meeting of the Membership in Branson, Missouri. The meeting began at 3:00 PM and the afternoon was filled with informative presentations by Associated Electric Cooperative senior staff. Topics covered by AECI in their update were Ensuring Reliable Generation, Serving Members Through Extreme Conditions, Planning for an Uncertain Future, Building Now for the Future, Ensuring Financial Strength, and The Regulatory Future. Presentations were made to retiring board members James Cottrell and Marc Roecker, and a special recognition was made to General Manager John Richards, who will be retiring at the end of the year after 48 years of service.
